Adam Wilson

Instructor

Adam started his martial arts training at the age of 8 years old at a local YWCA in Salem, Ohio.  Through the years, Adam has trained under many high level instructors in various styles giving him a well-balanced approach to self-defense.  In 2001 Adam received his 3rd degree black belt in karate from the Ne DU U Kon Tae Federation.

Adam attended the Ohio Peace Officer Academy at Youngstown State University in 2004.  While attending the academy Adam's martial arts focus turned to a more reality-based self-defense.  To this day he still incorporates tactics and knowledge of self-defense laws in his Jiu Jitsu classes.

His friend Bill Jones introduced Adam to Gracie Jiu Jitsu in the spring of 2006.  After his first class, he knew Gracie Jiu Jitsu was what he has been missing.  Adam was amazed how on his first day a student that was 10 years younger and about 80 pounds lighter could easily beat him.  His eyes were opened that day to the most effective self-defense style in existence and he has not stopped training since.
